When we were told it’s the law to wear face masks I spent a lot of time looking for this regulation and now the mystery is answered. The regulations were made on 23rd July and came into force on 24th July. They provide for the issuing of fixed penalty notices for failure to wear mask in a relevant place and the regulations will expire on 24th July 2021.
