Carcinogen Alphabet: “W” for Welding Fumes
Along with other health effects such as metal fume fever, asthma or pneumonia welding fumes may also cause cancer.
Welding fumes are listed as IARC classification Group 2B, this is primarily concerned with stainless steel fumes but is not complete limited to this type of welding.
In support of the “No Time to Lose” Campaign the SEL Group will be running an “Alphabet of Carcinogens” campaign and each week we shall release details regarding a different well known carcinogen.
